Okataina is working well and on Thursday morning he galloped solo over 1200 metres on the polytrack. Ridden by jockey Adam Hyeronimus, he clocked 11.9 seconds over the final 200 metres and Adam said, “He bowled along comfortably, and he’s in good order.” We are very pleased with your gelding, and he’s come through last week’s terrific run at Warwick Farm in wonderful order. We have decided to focus on the Benchmark 72 Handicap over 2200 metres at Warwick Farm on 9th August because he’s very much worthy of taking his place in town again. We will keep you updated regarding his progress leading into race day.
