14 Oct Knights Order at Caulfield Cup
For Australian Chinese Jockey Club (ACJC), the Victoria Spring Racing Carnival this year is a particularly exciting one. A number of ACJC members, Sydney & Melbourne, part own Knights Order, a very talented stayer which trainers Gai Waterhouse Racing Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott imported from Ireland some 3 years ago, will take part in tomorrow’s $5 million Group 1 Caulfield Cup, more exciting is, Gai & Adrian has a bigger goal for Knights Order – the $8 mil Group 1 Melbourne Cup on 1 November.
Knights Order is expected to run well tomorrow – whatever the result, he has already achieved the ultimate milestone in thoroughbred racing for ACJC – winning the Group 1 $2 mil Sydney Cup at Randwick on 9 April.
Good luck to all the ACJC members who are in Knights Order at the Caulfield Cup, Race 9, 5.15 pm Melbourne tomorrow.
Along with Knights Order, ACJC members also part own Hoo Ya Mal, another talented horse imported by Gai & Adrian from the UK, taking part in the Melbourne Cup on 1 November – in other words, ACJC are having 2 runners in the Melbourne Cup – Just amazing.
